Facing Addiction with NCADD and the Recovery Research Institute teamed up to host the Employment in Recovery: Challenges & Opportunities congressional forum in Washington D.C.

Addiction policy and law in America - politics - drugs and alcohol policy

Designed by Facing Addiction’s Legislation Working Group, the event highlighted the important of employment to long-term sustainable addiction recovery, exploring topics of emerging research in employment, common challenges and barriers to employment, and successful employment program models currently in use.

Representatives Paul Tonko of New York and David Joyce of Ohio, as well as Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island were in attendance, along with representatives from Renew Logic, Capitol Decisions, Job Recovery, Workforce Recovery Solutions, The Briermost Foundation, and Hope in Recovery Employment among others.
