Katherine (Kitty) Zeng is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Recovery Research Institute at Massachusetts General Hospital. She graduated from MIT with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and neuroscience, as well as a secondary degree in comparative media studies. At the RRI, Kitty is currently working on research that integrates physiological correlates of stress with predictive algorithms and biosensors in order to better prevent relapse for individuals in early stages of recovery from substance use disorders. Her research interests include developmental pathways of SUDs, the relationship between addiction and trauma disorders, and representation of important mental health issues in the media. In the future, she plans to pursue either an MD or a PhD in clinical psychology.
