New Webcast Series Addressing Stigma

An educational initiative to address stigma and discrimination in addiction.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) & the Recovery Research Institute (RRI) have teamed up to present a live webcast series entitled:

THE POWER OF PERCEPTIONS & UNDERSTANDING

This 4-part series works to educate healthcare professionals about the harms caused by discriminatory practices and inaccurate perceptions in treating individuals with substance use disorders (SUDs) and related conditions. Webcasts feature expert panel discussion, sharing viewpoints from across the addiction treatment, research, and policy fields.
