Chris Rattan is the Health Communications Manager at the Recovery Research Institute. He develops communications and marketing materials for the Institute, manages online and social media presence, and takes complex recovery research data and translates it in an accessible way to individuals outside of the field. He has a specific interest in substance use and mental health, the ways in which media can be used to reduce stigma, and in utilizing health behavior theory to promote help-seeking behavior and a greater public understanding of the realities of substance use disorders.
Mr. Rattan earned his MPH in Health Communication/Promotion and Mental Health/Substance Use from the Boston University School of Public Health, and his BA in Public Health and Psychology from Austin College.
