Health Communications Coordinator

Chris Rattan, MPH, is the Health Communications Coordinator at the Recovery Research Institute. He develops communications and marketing materials for the Institute, manages online and social media presence, and takes complex recovery research data and translates it in an accessible way to individuals outside of the field. He has a specific interest in substance use and mental health, the ways in which media can be used to influence stigma, and in utilizing health behavior theory to promote help-seeking behavior and a greater public understanding of the realities of substance use.

Mr. Rattan completed his MPH in Health Communication and Promotion from the Boston University School of Public Health, and his B.A. in Public Health and Psychology from Austin College.
